Beginner's Programme for 2007 - 2008

The programme below is as always flexible and themes may be swopped around from time to time to accomodate special guest speakers or if special topics are requested by members.

2008

  • January 16th - Mars what is it realy like?
  • February 20th - The view from space - Space telescopes
  • March 19th - Galaxies
  • April 16th - The Spring Constellations
  • May 21st - Observing the Moon
  • June (date to be arranged) Society outing day

Due to the flood damage at the Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre all meetings this season (September 2007 until June 2008) will be held at St Mary's Church Hall, Greenham. It has been necessary to move to the temporary accommodation because the Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre close for major refurbishment. Previously published dates unfortunatly clashed with other bookings at St. Mary's Church Hall so all future meetings have had to be booked a week later each month. Below is a map showing how to get to St Mary's Church Hall.

All meeting begin at 7:15 and finish at around 9:00.
